Monday, November 2 is the final deadline to apply for the CalAssist Mortgage Fund program, which was created after the LA Fires to provide up to 12 months, or $100,000, of mortgage payment relief for homes damaged or destroyed by a disaster.

While CalAssist focused on initial financial relief, The California Housing Finance Agency is now entering its next phase of recovery support with the Disaster Rebuilding Assistance Program. This program connects homeowners recovering from the disaster with more favorable low-interest construction loans to lower the cost of rebuilding.
