2025 Year in Review
Dear Friends,
As we look forward to new beginnings in the coming year, we wanted to report to you on some of the work we carried out during the historic and difficult year of 2025. The January Fires swept heartbreak, uncertainty, and anguish over our region. The resilience and patience of Angelinos has been tested by a number of lingering gaps in help and support. And as always, our community has been there for one another – lending hands to support, ears to vent frustration, and shoulders to lean on.
Through this heavy year and as this recovery maintains a top focus for our offices in Sacramento and Los Angeles, we have a lot to look back on. From logistical and financial support for rebuilding to work seeking to revitalize the region’s entertainment industry and broader economy, 2025 kept us busy. Now, we’re gearing up for 2026—we pick up where we left off for what will be my final year in the State Senate. I am excited to spend this coming year as the new chair of the Senate Committee on Energy, Utilities and Communications, where we will focus on affordability, reliability, and the continued transition toward a cleaner economy.
If you would like to know more about work highlighted here or elsewhere, or need assistance from our office with state programs or resources, please do not hesitate to reach out!
From my family to yours, we wish you a warm, safe, and happy new year.
