Senate Bill (SB) 254 is an advisory measure which urges the United States Congress to overturn the 2010 Citizens United Supreme Court ruling. It passed the committee on a vote of 5 – 2.

SB 916, the Theatre and Dance Act (TADA), will establish single-subject teaching credentials for theatre and for dance. SACRAMENTO – Given the staggering decline of honey bees in California, Senators Mark Leno and Ben Allen have introduced legislation that would protect pollinators against toxic pesticides that are contributing to bee colony collapse. Senate Bill 1282 informs retail consumers about plants and seeds that have been treated with neonicotinoid pesticides and makes the chemicals available for use only by trained professionals.
Sacramento, CA – Today Senator Ben Allen (D – Santa Monica) received the 2015 Legislator of the Year Award from the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA). Senator Richard Pan (D – Sacramento) also received the Legislator of the Year Award from the group.
