Senator Ben Allen Honors Stacey Armato as “Woman of the Year”
Sacramento, CA - Every year, in a rich tradition dating back to 1987, the California State Senate celebrates Women’s History Month by recognizing remarkable women throughout the state who make a positive difference in their communities. On Friday, October 30th, it was “standing room only” as Senator Ben Allen (D – Santa Monica) honored Stacey Anne Armato in Hermosa Beach as this year’s Senate District 26 Woman of the Year.
“I congratulate Ms. Armato on this honor which recognizes her many achievements, her passionate commitment to the service of others and her great public spirit. She is a true leader in every sense of the word,” said Senator Allen.
Ms. Armato, upon accepting her Senate Resolution, thanked the Senator for the honor as she was “extremely grateful that our Senator respects and celebrates keeping our community and environment safe and clean, and our children healthy.” She also acknowledged her family, her fellow BreastFeedLA board members, and many of the community members that helped keep Hermosa Beach free from oil drilling.
