One Year Since Palisades Fire, Senator Allen Joins Community in Reflection

PACIFIC PALISADES – As we remember one year since the Palisades Fire, Senator Allen joins his community for commemoration and healing.

“This past year has been incredibly challenging, but I continue to be inspired by our Pacific Palisades and Malibu residents, non-profits, and businesses. Many have lost their homes and livelihoods, yet continue to support each other – sharing hope, vision, and determination to rebuild their communities. I am grateful for those within and outside Pacific Palisades and Malibu who generously stepped up to help their neighbors through volunteerism, donations, offering shelter, and more.

“As I join my neighbors and friends in Pacific Palisades and Malibu, I remember and honor the lives lost in both the Palisades and Eaton fires, and commit my continued focus and support as the recovery process moves forward. There were many failures of our system still unresolved and so many things to improve and try to fix. Much of our work this year will be focused on lessons learned from this terrible tragedy, and ensuring survivors have the necessary tools to return to their communities.”
