The busy year in Sacramento resulted in some meaningful improvements to our insurance system and new support for resilience efforts throughout our communities.
 

Earlier this year, I introduced three bills that will:

1. Establish protections to help you maintain your existing coverage.
2. Improve enforcement actions against bad insurance practices.
3. Make home hardening and defensible space renovations more affordable so you can better protect your families and homes.

I’m excited that each of these bills were signed into law to take effect in the near future. These policies can work in tandem with one another to improve both affordable coverage options and coverage quality across California.
