Expanded Mortgage Assistance for Fire Survivors
Dear Friends,
The CalAssist Mortgage Fund Program is expanding support for our fire recovery efforts. Los Angeles County survivors of the 2025 LA Fires with a household income up to $211,050 are now eligible for mortgage relief. This is a $70,000 increase from the previous threshold.
This is a state program that provides mortgage relief for properties destroyed or severely damaged by a disaster.
- Three months of mortgage payments, up to $20,000 total
- Funds never have to be repaid
- Grants paid directly to mortgage servicer
