Sacramento, CA – Beverly Hills philanthropist, author and entrepreneur, Lisa Zola Greer, has been recognized by Senator Ben Allen as District 26 Woman of the Year. An active real estate investor, an advisor to many nonprofits, and the co-founder of Tandem Careplanning, a Public-Benefit Corporation that champions both care seekers and caregivers, Lisa Zola Greer is an active and involved member of the Beverly Hills community.

“Greer’s commitment to Beverly Hills is well-rounded, supporting many different facets of her community,” said Senator Ben Allen, D-Santa Monica. “Supporting non-profits, the Jewish community, cultural heritage, and more – her widespread advocacy deserves proper recognition.”

Greer was honored during a virtual celebration this month hosted by Senator Allen’s office joined with friends and family, and was presented with her official Senate Resolution honoring her. The Woman of the Year event was founded in 1987 in celebration of the contributions to society made by remarkable women throughout California, and every year one woman from each Senate and Assembly district come to the Capitol to be honored for their accomplishments. Typically, they are recognized as Woman of the Year in a formal ceremony on the floors of the Senate and Assembly. This year, however, Greer’s celebration went virtual as the Capitol continues to operate following COVID-19 precautions.

Greer is an active member of the Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors.  She recently completed terms as Commissioner and Chair of the Beverly Hills Cultural Heritage Commission and Trustee of the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles.  Previously she served as President of Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills and Board member of many organizations, including the L.A. District Attorney’s Crime Prevention Foundation, Make-a-Wish of Greater Los Angeles, Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, and others.

Earlier in her career, Greer founded and led a company that helped people throughout the world become parents through the power of cutting-edge technology.  Prior to that, Greer led a management consulting and strategic advisory firm specializing in digital media and entertainment businesses.  Earlier, as a studio executive, she oversaw the development of the online and other business divisions at NBC, Universal Studios, and Spencer Gifts, while also launching pioneering ventures into music webcasting.

A native of Los Angeles, Greer holds a bachelor's degree in History from UCLA and an MBA from Pepperdine University. The mother of five children, she and her husband, Joshua, are proud and involved residents of Beverly Hills. Their iconic home, recognized by the "Will Rogers Awards", has been the site for myriad social justice, educational and community events and salons.
