Serious Solutions Needed for Serious Challenges
(Sacramento, CA) Senator Kevin de León (D-Los Angeles) today issued the following statement in response to the Governor’s budget proposal:
“No one is immune from the tough choices that must be made. As we tackle the budget, I encourage all sides to ensure their rhetoric creates solutions and not enemies.”
Assembly Joint Resolution 37 and 15, authored by Assemblymember Kevin de León (D-Los Angeles), were approved by the Assembly Floor with a 45-17 (AJR 37) and 44-24 (AJR 15) party line vote and will now be transmitted to the United States Congress and President Barack Obama.
AJR 37 urges the President of the United States and Congress to take a comprehensive and workable approach to solving our nation’s broken immigration system by creating a path to citizenship for the millions of immigrants working and living in the United States.
