I am pleased to announce our Senate District's Woman of the Year, Jacqueline Caster. Ms. Caster is a committed community leader and passionate advocate for foster youth and juvenile justice reform. She serves on the L.A. County Probation Commission and is the President and Founder of the Everychild Foundation, a wonderful organization that provides grants to nonprofit agencies serving vulnerable Los Angeles children.

Please join me at a reception in her honor on Tuesday, September 19, at the historic Santa Monica Bay Woman’s Club. We’ll have light refreshments and hear spoken word poems from the critically-acclaimed Get Lit Players.
